372 Dental has been at the same address since 1920. That doesn't make us better at fillings — it makes us a slow institution that knows the community it sits inside.

  1. 1920

    The doors open

    The practice opens at 372 Bury Road, Tonge Moor — the same address it occupies today.

  2. 1948

    Through the founding NHS

    When the National Health Service launches, the practice takes NHS patients alongside its private list.

  3. Six waves of dental practice

    Amalgam, composite, CBCT, digital impressions, modern materials, modern training — the chair has changed; the building, the address, and the unhurried approach have not.

  4. Today

    Two principals, one waiting room

    Run by Dr Stephen Bloor and Dr Ross Mathieson. Both NHS and private patients welcome, four generations of Bolton families looked after.

372 Dental sits on the Bury Road parade in Tonge Moor — north-east Bolton, on the corridor that runs out toward Ainsworth and the West Pennine Moors. Stone terraces, Pennine light, a small high-street parade we've been part of for over a hundred years.
